Community Benefit
The School of Public Health is initiating a major effort to
promote dialog and foster education regarding Community Benefit. A
national conference was convened last July with the goal of 1)
bringing the tools of evidence-based health care management to
bear on the practice of community benefit, and 2) identifying the
key questions to be addressed during the next three years to
forward community benefit practice. Read the conference report
HERE.
Public Health Speaker Series
Significant disparities in infant mortality, heart disease,
sexually transmitted disease, among others exist in our community.
Why do they exist? How do they impact us all? How can we address
them? Meet with business, community, government and academic
partners to learn and share evidence and practice-based strategies
at the Sharing Responsibility, Improving Community Health public
health speaker series.
