Mr.
King serves as the Director of the Center for Environmental Education
and Training and the Midwest OSHA Education Center at Saint Louis
University School of Public Health. During his twenty-six years
in environmental health and safety training he has worked in a
variety of areas, including water quality research, water and
wastewater operations, hazardous materials, lead hazards and occupational
safety and health. Throughout his career he has been vested in
the process of assisting small communities to develop capacity
for addressing their environmental health and safety issues. Toward
this end he has worked with communities in the US, Honduras and
Peru. In addition, he has developed and delivered a variety of
training programs on facility development and security for small
community water and wastewater systems in cooperation with the
National Environmental Services Center of West Virginia University.
He is presently the science advisor for a community-based stream
assessment being conducted in the Andes of central Peru. Mr. King
is a member of the, the Academy of Hazardous Materials Managers,
the American Society of Safety Engineers, National Environmental
Safety and Health Training Association and the Inter-American
Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering.
