Dr. Deshpande is a faculty member in the department of Epidemiology. She has experience as a researcher, consultant, and instructor. Her current research focuses on cultural factors that influence health. She is the principal investigator on the Evaluation of Arthritis Basics for Change Self-Management Program project and investigator on Comparing Three Approaches to Cultural Appropriateness and The Influence of Sociocultural Factors on Diabetes Self-Management projects.
