SLU MHA HA
Competition Team in Final Five: Join the Celebration!
Join us in congratulating our AWESOME SLU MHA Health Administration
(HA)
Case Competition Team -- David Berry (MHA/MBA, May 2008), Heather
McCollum (MHA/JD, May 2009) & April Menke (MHA, May 2008) -- for the
superb job they did at the 3rd annual National HA Case Competition
sponsored by the University of Alabama-Birmingham, February
6-7!
They competed among 21 student teams from the nation's top
MHA programs and came out shining stars! It is nothing short
of AMAZING that they made the FINAL ROUND of the TOP 5 Teams
given this is the 1st year SLU entered the contest! Co-Faculty
Mentors Connie Evashwick and Kathy Gillespie, who accompanied
the team to Birmingham, received comments from several of the
event's attendees about how IMPRESSED they were with the SLU
MHA Team.
So, now we are asking the team to present the case they
analyzed to the full HMP faculty and student body. This event
is tentatively scheduled for
Thursday, Feb. 21, from 4:30-5:30 pm in Dr. Evashwick's Health
Care Marketing class and will be followed by a cake and
congratulations celebration! So, hold the date and watch for
details to follow. All members of the SPH community are
invited! In the meantime, here's a list of the schools in the
